Teadit receives Certificate of Recognition at ASME 2013

Teadit® has one more time stood out in the ASME Pressure Vessel & Piping - PVP 2013 Conference held between July 14 and 18 in Paris, France. This year, Eng. José Carlos Veiga, technical director of Teadit, presented FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE SEALING BEHAVIOR OF SPIRAL WOUND GASKETS. This work, jointly developed with engineers Nelson Kavanagh and Gustavo Monteiro, both from Teadit®, demonstrates the influence of the density of the spirals in the sealing capacity of the spiral wound, this variable is not specified in the current version of ASME B16.20.

 

Besides the presentation, Eng. Veiga was honored during the event in recognition of his valuable research and development service to/for? the engineering and the work carried out.

José Carlos Veiga, respected and recognized among the largest engineering professionals and academics from around the world, is a member of ASME and was the Technical Representative of the Computer Technology Committee and Flanged joints for PVP 2013.

Besides the presentation of the main technical work of the Eng. Veiga, Teadit was featured also in the 21st annual competition of PVP Student Paper, which took place in the PVP 2013.

 

 

With DEVELOPING A PROTOCOL TO DETERMINE THE MINIMUM OPERATING STRESS OF COMPRESSED NON-ASBESTOS GASKETS, Lucas Xavier, Gabriela Rodrigues and Ana Claudia, engineering students and Teadit interns, secured the third position in the event. The event gathered graduate and undergraduate students worldwide in order to promote the dissemination and exchange of knowledge among students, professionals and academics.


 

The PVP promotes the dissemination of the latest technologies for industries in addition to the exchange of ideas and opinions between professionals and academics from around the world: Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia, the Americas and Oceania. The next edition will take place in Anaheim, California, between July 20 and 24.
