THE TEADIT® GROUP EARNS A 2019 VAALER AWARD
The Teadit Group is proud to announce being awarded a 2019 Vaaler Award for the RC510 Gasket, produced by utilizing Teadit’s patented Origin™ Technology. More than 50 years ago, Chemical Processing inaugurated the Vaaler Awards, which are a biennial award overseen by Chemical Processing in a multitude of categories, and honor products and services that have dramatically improved the operations and economics of plants in the chemical industry.
The Vaaler Award is named after John C. Vaaler (1899-1963), chairman of Chemical Processing’s Editorial Board from 1961 until his death. He became editor-in-chief of Chemical Processing in 1946, after 24 years in the chemical and related industries.
Teadit’s Origin™ RC510 gasket is a new, and unique product, produced utilizing a new, revolutionary and patented technology – The Origin™ Process. Teadit's Origin™ process eliminates wasteful consumption of material by dramatically reducing scrap generated from traditional gasket cutting processes through winding Teadit Tealon™ PTFE tape into a final ID/OD, thus decreasing its environmental footprint. During the manufacturing process almost 100% of the raw materials are used, which helps to make PTFE practical and affordable. Finally, Teadit's Origin™ RC510 provides outstanding sealing characteristics similar to an elastomeric design, except it provides the superior chemical resistance, reliability and durability of PTFE.
This is the third award for the RC510 Gasket, produced by utilizing Teadit’s patented Origin™ Technology, with the first being in 2018 for First Prize for the Chemours Plunkett Award, and a Product of the Year Award in 2018 given by Plant Engineering. The recipients of the 2019 Vaaler Award will be honored at The Chem Show in New York City, NY, October 22-24, 2019.
